To mark a very special milestone, St James’ launched its “10 Days for 10 Years” initiative as a celebration of our journey so far – and a reflection of our vibrant school spirit.
Over these 10 days, each year group selected a unique activity to honour the occasion, with events ranging from arts and crafts, dress-up days, and community-focused activities. This sequence of student-driven activities showcased the vibrant spirit of our community and the many talents within it.
Junior School
During the first week, the Junior School took part in a range of activities to begin the celebrations for St James’ 10 Year Anniversary. It was wonderful to see students across all year levels come together in the spirit of celebrating 10 years of our Orange Army.
Throughout the week, the older students stepped up as buddies to guide and support the younger year groups.
- Kindy and Pre-Primary buddied with Year 5 & 6 students to share stories during reading sessions.
- Year 1 & 2 students buddied with their peers in Years 4 & 5 to enjoy an exciting scavenger hunt.
- Year 3 students showcased their creativity with some fun cupcake decorating.
Senior School
In the second week, Senior School students took part in a range of creative and meaningful activities.
- Year 7 – Stepped into the future with a fun Careers Dress-Up
- Year 8 – Painted a colourful path of animal prints, each leading to a new destination
- Year 9 – Embraced the school spirit with handmade Fox Masks – inspired by our mascot
- Year 10 – Got involved in a powerful session with Lionheart
- Year 11 – Designed artwork ready to put on clay discs, inspired by what represents St James’
- Year 12 – Gave back to the community by participating in a beach cleanup
A wonderful week of learning, creativity, and connection to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary!
These 10 days have reminded us of how far we’ve come as a school and how strong our community continues to grow.
