SJAS +

Empowering Year 11 and 12 Students with SJAS +

SJAS + is a series of workshops and activities that complements existing offerings for Year 11 and 12 Students, with life skills, micro-credentials and well-being programs.  Unlike traditional subjects, SJAS + is designed to provide certified and non-certified achievements that recognise specific skills. This allows students to build a portfolio of qualifications that support their personal and professional development, in addition to developing well-being and life skills.

SJAS + is more than just a class — it’s a future-focused initiative designed to empower students with the skills they need to thrive post-school. By integrating micro-credentials, well-being and life skills into their education, we ensure that Year 11 and 12 Students graduate not only knowledgeable but also resilient, confident, and ready for the challenges ahead.

The opportunities provided in SJAS + run alongside the students’ subject selections and do not impact their selected courses of study.

What skills will students learn?

Each completed module develops life skills and well-being or earns a micro-credential, which can be added to resumes, university applications, or job portfolios — demonstrating to future employers or institutions that students have mastered these skills.

"As parents, we all want to see our teenagers thrive—not just academically, but also emotionally and socially. With the increasing pressures of high school, university preparation, and future careers, it's essential that students develop the skills needed to navigate life beyond the classroom. As a school, we aim to ensure that our students have the advantage in a competitive job market."
