Our Eglinton House Charity Day was a wonderful example of the generosity, compassion and service spirit that exists within the St James’ community.
Our Senior School Eglinton Captains, together with our Service Captain, coordinated and organised the many donated items into our school Pantry. Their leadership and commitment ensured that the donations were carefully sorted and prepared for distribution.
On Tuesday after school, the captains were joined by Jasmine from Year 8, who was completing service hours towards her Compass Award. Together, they packed an impressive nine crates of donated food and essential items ready for delivery to Food4All in Yanchep.
Later that evening, our Service Captain accompanied Mrs Syme to volunteer at Food4All. Our Year 11 student Kent is a regular volunteer at Food4All. During the session, more than 45 families accessed vital support through food hampers, toiletries and cleaning products. Seeing firsthand the impact of community generosity was a powerful reminder of how acts of service can positively affect the lives of others.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and thank our St James’ community for supporting this important initiative.
