Some of our Junior School students recently represented St James’ Anglican School at the Numero Competition, held at Creaney Primary School, achieving fantastic results!
Numero is an engaging mathematics card game that helps players develop numeracy skills, mathematical fluency and problem-solving abilities. Owned by Alzheimer’s WA, the game encourages students to apply mental computation, strategic thinking and mathematical reasoning in a fun and challenging environment.
Our Fantastic Foxes team, made up of Bono, Kai, Sam and Nathan, secured 1st place overall out of 18 teams. Our Crafty Cubs team, consisting of Megan, Eleanor, Benji and Rafael, also performed exceptionally well, achieving 2nd place overall out of 18 teams.
The competition provided a wonderful opportunity for students to put their mathematical skills into practice, using mental computation, strategic thinking and problem-solving to compete against other schools.
Congratulations to both teams on these outstanding achievements! St James’ is very proud of their efforts and success.
