Today, we were incredibly proud to celebrate three outstanding St James’ students — Kent (Year 11), Keeley (Year 12) and Zoe (Year 12) — who were successfully awarded a Service Award at the Student Volunteer Afternoon Tea.

Back in March, schools were invited to nominate students who have made a positive contribution through volunteering and service within their school and wider community. The initiative provides an opportunity to celebrate the incredible contributions of young volunteers in Pearce and recognise the difference they make through their time, commitment and service to others.

Kent, Keeley and Zoe were presented with their awards by the Hon Jason Clare, Federal Minister for Education, Tracey Roberts MP, Member for Pearce, and Mr Mark Folkard MLA.

Their awards recognise their remarkable commitment to serving others through volunteering with organisations including Food4All, the Salvation Army, Lionheart, Thread Together and Share the Dignity. Their contributions also extend to running school clubs, catering school events, coaching No Limits netball teams within the community, and completing different levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

Well done to Kent, Keeley and Zoe for the positive difference they continue to make. Their dedication, compassion and willingness to give their time to others embody the true spirit of service at St James’.
