Students in Year 11 Engineering participated in the Electric Vehicle Challenge. The competition required students to build an electric vehicle, with many hours of designing, manufacturing, testing and refining all culminating in a single race day. It was a great opportunity for students to apply engineering skills in the real world.
We were fortunate to have great racing conditions, and the car performed exceptionally well throughout the day. It was a very well-built and presented car that attracted plenty of positive attention from those at the event. The team’s hard work was recognised with 1st Place in Engineering and 1st Place for Best Presented Car, a fantastic achievement given the quality of the competition.
Congratulations to our drivers, who did a fantastic job behind the wheel, and to the pit crew who supported the team throughout the day.
The EV Challenge is a massive undertaking, with many hours of designing, manufacturing, testing and refining all culminating in a single race day. It was wonderful to see the students have the opportunity to shine and reap the rewards of all that hard work.
Well done to all involved and we look forward to building and racing in this competition again next year.
