Leadership to me is about responsibility, approachability and setting a positive example for others. I chose to become a captain so I could be a welcoming presence that students feel comfortable coming to for support, guidance or simply a conversation. I believe a strong leader represents their school with pride, integrity and respect, both within the school community and beyond. As a captain, I aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, while also upholding the St James' standards and values . This role allows me to give back, lead by example and contribute positively to the overall welcoming culture of the orange army.
Lily-May
2026 School Captain
I became a captain because I wanted to give back to the school community that has given me so much. I saw it as an opportunity to support others, be a voice for my peers and provide an environment that encourages others and creates positive change.
