Deputy Head of Junior School

St James’ Anglican School is owned and operated by AngliSchools. It is located in Perth’s northern suburbs and situated 44km from the CBD on the coast.

St James’ Anglican School caters for approximately 1300 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and will likely grow to a capacity of 1450 in the coming years. The Deputy Head of Junior School’s role is a very hands on position and will excite a person who enjoys both an operational and a teaching and learning leadership role (approx 0.4 FTE teaching load).  As the School moves beyond its eleventh year, this role will include working within the Executive Team and supporting the Senior School leadership. This role commences in July 2026 (Term 3).

  • Assist with interviewing prospective parents and students of the Junior School.
  • Support the Vice Principal with curriculum related operational duties, including duty roster, the timetable and NAPLAN.
  • Oversee and provide support for the staff operations officer to secure relief.
  • Attend Executive meetings as instructed by the Principal.
  • Take a lead role in teaching and learning in the Junior School.
  • Help promote school discipline and tone through appropriate initiatives.
