Department Overview

At St James’, the Digital Technologies department supports students from Years 3 to 12 in developing the technical skills, critical thinking and ethical understanding needed to navigate a rapidly evolving digital world. Through a focus on innovation and problem-solving, students learn how technology influences everyday life and future industries. Our programs help prepare learners for pathways in STEM, information technology and creative fields, while also fostering collaboration, adaptability, creativity and responsible digital citizenship.

Subjects On Offer

Digital Technologies is compulsory in Years 7-8 and becomes an elective subject in Years 9-12. The below streams are available as an elective in Years 9-12. 

Year 9:

Year 10:

  • Computer Science ATAR
