On Friday 9 August, 20 students and three staff members from St James’ Anglican School Alkimos participated in the Anglicare School Sleep Out at Optus Stadium. The event offered our students an invaluable opportunity to experience and understand the harsh realities faced by young people living on the streets.
As of today, an impressive $209,580 has been raised for Street Connect, a service dedicated to supporting youth aged 15-26 who are experiencing homelessness. St James’ proudly ranked as the 14th highest fundraising school out of 22, raising $5,494 for this vital cause.
This year marks our sixth consecutive year of participating in the Sleep Out, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who donated and supported our efforts. Your generosity is helping to make a real difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you for standing with us in the fight against youth homelessness.
