Our Year 1 students have been studying landscapes, with a focus on natural, built and managed features.
In a special lesson delivered by our Principal Mr Pree, our students learned about the importance of planning and creativity in architecture and engineering.
They were shown blueprints and designs for St James’ current Junior School classroom extension project and our future canteen extension project, learning about the materials and techniques that are used in the construction process.
The students were also given the opportunity to unleash their own creativity by building their own model designs for the new buildings. Armed with cardboard, paper, glue, and other materials, the young architects and engineers set to work creating their visions for the school’s new classrooms and canteen!
