During the Thrift Shop Charity Afternoon, Year 11 and 12 students were introduced to the inspiring work of Thread Together. Thread Together is a service of Anglicare WA and through a powerful presentation, they taught our Year 11 and 12s about the organisation’s sustainable practices, zero landfill mission, and the impact their mobile wardrobe has on communities in need.
Students engaged in hands-on activities like care-package decorating and a mobile wardrobe tour. Afterwards, they had the opportunity to browse the thrift shop, taking time to relax and enjoy the experience.
From 3:10pm, we welcomed families and younger students to explore pre-loved goods, share a coffee, and contribute to a worthy cause. It was wonderful to see the school community come together to give pre-loved items a new home while supporting environmental awareness and community spirit.
We’re proud to share that we managed to raise $420 towards Anglicare WA, which is an amazing result and a testament to the generosity and heart of our school community.
