On Friday 19 July, and Saturday 20July, St James’ Anglican School was abuzz with excitement as students took to the stage for their highly anticipated production of The Addams Family. Both shows were sold out, highlighting the immense support from our school community.
The performances were a testament to the incredible talent and hard work of our students. From the moment the curtains rose, the audience was transported into the eerie and enchanting world of the Addams Family.
Gomez Addams, with his slicked-back hair and charming demeanour, captivated the audience as he navigated the peculiarities of his family mansion. Morticia, with her elegance and poise, was a perfect counterpart, creating a dynamic duo that led the cast with flair.
Wednesday Addams, the princess of darkness, brought the house down with her portrayal of teenage angst and rebellion, all while maintaining an air of gothic grace. Uncle Fester’s comedic antics added layers of humour and intrigue to the show.
The ensemble cast, comprising students from various year levels, worked seamlessly together to bring the Addams Family’s spooky mansion to life.
The set design, costumes and special effects were all crafted with precision, adding to the overall professional quality of the production.
Thank you to all the performers and their families for their dedication and support. Your commitment made this production a resounding success. We can’t wait to see what next year’s performance brings!
