We are delighted to share some exciting news from one of our Junior School students, Harry, whose creativity has recently been recognised by ABC Kids Listen through their Story Salad Quest Mode competition.
Last year, Harry submitted a story starter as part of the national storytelling initiative, which invites children to use their imagination to inspire original stories. Earlier this week, Harry and his family received the exciting news that his submission had been selected to be turned into a fully produced story by the ABC Kids Listen team.
As part of the experience, Harry also had the opportunity to speak with a producer from ABC Kids Listen to record his reaction after hearing the final story for the very first time. The recording will be included as part of the official broadcast, airing on Tuesday 2 June.
We were thrilled to hear that the story turned out to be full of humour and creativity — and understandably, Harry is very proud of his achievement!
At St James’, we love celebrating moments like these that showcase the imagination, confidence and creativity of our students beyond the classroom. Congratulations, Harry, on this fantastic achievement and for sharing your wonderful news with our community.
We encourage our community to tune in and listen to Harry’s story when it airs with ABC Kids Listen on Tuesday 2 June (link below)🎙️🧡
