Now in its 4th year at St James’, the Volleyball Specialist Program continues to be a hype of activity! Here are some of the highlights of 2024 so far:

💯 A record 130+ students hit the court every week improving their craft whilst enjoying camaraderie with teammates.

🚀 We launched the VSP Development Squad inviting our top athletes the chance to further develop their skills and a deeper understanding of the strategies and tactics in an ‘elite’ training environment.

✈️ Students have been selected for the 2024 Gold Coast Volleyball Tour! These students have commenced preparations with Friday Night games in the WA Volleyball Junior League!

👏 In March, Ava B, Brooke H and Madison E competed for Western Australia at the Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships in Coolangatta, Queensland.

👏 Also in March, Ava & Brooke were the first St James’ team ever to compete at the Australian Beach Volleyball Schools Cup!

👏 Annabel Lucas has been selected in the U19 State Team and will travel to Adelaide these school holidays to compete at the Australian Junior National Championships!

💪 Over 85 Year 7-9 Students in 10 teams took part in the SSWA Champion Schools Junior Volleyball Tournaments in Week 7 of Term 2, testing their skills against some of Perth’s best volleyball schools. All students represent the school exceptionally gaining valuable experience and preparing them well for the VWA School’s Cup next term.

💪 Around 50 students in Years 10-12 will took part in the SSWA Champion Schools Senior Volleyball Tournament in Week 10 of Term 2.

👀 Keep an eye on the northern parts of our school grounds! Some exciting volleyball infrastructure has begun being created.
